For more than a decade, we’ve imported hanadama pearls from just two sources in Japan. This is the only way to guarantee the pearls have grown for two full seasons – a farming technique known as “koshimono.” This is very important because you want your pearls to last a lifetime, and you want to be able to pass them down from generation to generation. Two seasons of growth guarantees you will.
The pearls in this bracelet measure 8.5-9.0 mm, a substantial size for akoya, but still wearable every day. Each pearl is individually knotted on twin silk, and the bracelet is finished with a solid 14 karat clasp.
