Our loose black akoya pearls are color treated and are AA+ quality . These pearls are half drilled for setting as earrings, pendants or rings. Undrilled Akoya pearls are not available. For full drilled pearls, please see the pearls-by-the-inch below. Pearl care kit not included with this item.
As black is not a naturally occurring color in akoya pearls, the pearls have been treated with a permanent organic dye to achieve their dark coloration.
